General Information
Wi-Fi: The wi-fi networks are called Pope Barn, Roost Barn and Chicken Hut for the gym and games room. The password for Pope Barn and the Chicken Hut is Woolley1. The password for Roost Barn is WoolleyBarnFarm1.
Parking: There is plenty of parking adjacent to Roost Barn at the rear of the Main House. Signage will direct you to this on arrival. All we ask is that the turning area marked with signage is kept clear for ease of manoeuvre for yourselves and others during your stay.
Check In and Check Out: Check-in is from 3PM to 11PM unless we have otherwise agreed. Check out is normally 10.00 o’clock AM. At the end of the stay please leave your keys in your key box or the Key Return Box outside the Reception/Office and Delivery sign.
Smoking: For the enjoyment and safety of all our guests smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited in the property itself and in the Gym and Games Room. Grey ash pots are located outside on the patio tables. Please use these only for extinguishing and disposing of cigarettes/matches etc if needed.
Mobile Phone: Coverage is patchy outside. The barns have thick stone walls so there is zero signal within. Most have some success in the front courtyard areas.
Pets: Unfortunately, we do not allow pets in any of our barns.
TV: The TV is connected to standard Freeview HD. It’s a smart TV, so you can get BBC iPlayer, ITV hub,Channel 4 catch-up, Youtube and Netflix.
Pedestrian Gate: The wooden pedestrian gate to the lane is operated by a green exit switch located on the wall to your left. The code for re-entry is the same as the main gate followed by # or you can use the blue fob on your key ring.
Heating and Hot Water: It’s a combi boiler, so as soon as you operate a hot tap, you will get hot water. The heating is underfloor downstairs and by radiators upstairs. Each area has its own heating controller on the wall. The controllers run on a pre-set timer to come on about 7am and off at 11pm. To turn off the heating for a particular room, press the left hand power button and you will see a snow flake symbol. If you want to change temporarily the temperature, press the up and down arrows to set the temperature followed by button marked A to confirm. A flame symbol will show when the heating is on.
Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped with all needed to self cater during your stay. Oven dishes, crockery and additional glasses can be found in the kitchen cupboards. Instructions on how to use the Oven/Hob can be found in the kitchen base unit draws. There is a Tassimo coffee machine which requires Tassimo compatible pods only.
Laundry: A washer/dryer is provided for your laundry needs & a fold out clothes airer/pegs/iron & ironing board etc can be found in the under stairs cupboard in Pope Barn and in the walk-in wardrobe located in the main bedroom in Roost Barn.
Extra Bed Linen: For Pope Barn, additional bed linen/duvet & pillows for the sofa bed can be found in the wooden blanket box in the family bedroom. Extra bed linen in Roost Barn for the sofa bed can be found under the lift-up kingsize bed in the main bedroom.
Refuse and Recycling: Recycling waste includes paper, tins, bottles, drinks cartons, plastic and cardboard. There is a metal rubbish bin in the barn for normal refuse waste and marked plastic bin for recycling with a separate one for glass. Outside, there is a small gated refuse & recycling area with the main bins enclosed. Any glassware should go in the black box only, with other recycling and normal refuse going in the marked blue bins.
Velux Windows: These are opened and closed by using the metal pole left on the landing. The blinds are only operated electronically with a controller on the wall. Please do not open the windows with the blinds down. Also, please be sure to shut the Velux windows if you are out as they do not shut automatically in the rain.
Chickens: Please be aware of the electric fence that runs around the perimeter of the chicken paddock.
BBQ: There is a barbecue in the wooden box including fuel in the courtyard and matches in the kitchen drawer.
Circuit Breakers: In the unlikely event of one of the circuit breakers tripping, the fuse box is in the front hall cupboard for Pope Barn and in Roost Barn in the downstairs cloakroom above the sink.
Gym: The fully equipped gym is available for your use during your stay. For safety reasons, only over 16’s are permitted to use the gym. Please be mindful that all equipment is used at your own risk and we do not except liability for misuse. No outdoor shoes are permitted. The gym is open from 7AM to 9PM. The gym is a shared facility with our other barn, so only groups from a single barn are allowed access at any onetime.
Games Room: The games room has a pool table, table tennis table, table football and a Connect4 game. The games room is open from 9AM to 10PM. No under 11 children unaccompanied please. Complimentary: We provide dishwasher tabs, washing machine tabs, washing up liquid, olive oil, toilet roll, complementary size shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, salt, pepper, tea towels, kitchen roll and foil.
Confetti and Glitter: We hate to damp down any celebrations, but please don’t spread glitter and confetti around the house as it takes ages to clear up.
